Our U13 girls had a fantastic day at the St. Mary’s Secondary School blitz in Thurles this May. The girls put in some excellent performances in the group stages to earn a place in the final of the cup. Although they lost out to a fantastic Ballinahinch side, Mr. Kelly was thrilled with the girls’ work rate, skill and determination
Under 13’s lost out by 2 points to Ballinahinch NS in the semi final of a brilliantly run blitz by Newport Community College on the 17th of May. The treats after the game lifted spirits as they now turn their attention the our memorial tournament on the 12th of June.
World Down Syndrome Day – March 21st 2024
Boher NS was proud to support Down Syndrome Ireland’s “Lots of Socks” campaign where students and staff wore brightly coloured, mismatched or odd socks. Classes engaged in lessons where they learned all about Down Syndrome and they also created some wonderful art work displaying “Lots of Socks.” Donations were also made to Down Syndrome Ireland to support funding and research. Well done everybody!
SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS
Under11 Boys, Under11 Girls, Under13 Boys and Under13 Girls football teams played against Lissenhall NS in Dolla on Tuesday October 3rd. All four games were played in good spirits and fun was had by all.
