MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT
What a lovely day we had on Wednesday, 3rd June, for our annual Memorial Tournament! Ballina G.A.A. pitch was a buzzing hive of activity as we welcomed neighbouring schools Portroe N.S., Burgess N.S. and Ballinahinch N.S. to compete across four separate competitions. True to Miss Hogan’s style, inclusion was at the heart of the day, with every single child in our school from third class up playing an important and valued part in the event. Of course, there was also a wonderfully sharp, competitive edge to many of the matches—just as she would have loved and encouraged! As usual, we had great turn out of past pupils to help in too many ways to list- thank you sincerely to all of them.
A massive congratulations to all the teams who gave it their absolute all, and a special shout-out to this year’s tournament winners:
- U13 Hurling (Memorial Shield): Boher N.S.
- U13 Camogie (Niamh Hogan Cup): Portroe N.S.
- U13 Camogie (Shield): Boher N.S.
- U11 Hurling (Joe O’Grady Cup): Ballinahinch N.S.
- U11 shield (Shield) Boher Red
- U13 Football (Kennedy Cup): Ballinahinch N.S.
Thank you sincerely to all third to sixth class parents for your support with the change of drop off and collection routine- your help was greatly appreciated.
