MATHS WEEK 2025
Our school celebrated Maths Week this year with a fantastic range of activities that brought numbers to life for all our students! Senior Classes showcased their creativity by designing board games and had great fun sharing and playing them with infants classes. Across the school, pupils tested their Maths skills and teamwork through engaging in online Maths quizzes, while our preschool class explored early mathematical concepts through hands-on, playful activities. It was a week full of fun, problem solving and a shared love of Maths!

ROAD SAFETY WEEK 2025
As part of our “Road Safety Week” activities this October, Mr. Horan ran a competition where pairs of students were invited to work together to create a Comic Strip promoting Road Safety. Well done to all the participants and winners!

Anti Bullying Week 2025
During the last week of September, we had a wonderful Anti-Bullying Week here at school with the theme Bí Cinealta/Be Kind. The children really got involved with poster competitions, kindness challenges, and lots of class activities designed to help them understand what bullying is and how it affects others. We were also lucky to have Pat Forde from stopthebully.ie visit every class from first to sixth, leading meaningful sessions on being assertive and confident among other things.
“Bullying Behaviour is targeted behaviour, online or offline that causes harm. The harm caused can be physical, social and/or emotional in nature. Bullying behaviour is repeated over time and involves an imbalance of power in relationships between two people or groups of people in society.”

CROSS COUNTRY 2025
A huge well done to all the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth class runners who took part in this year’s cross country! The sun was shining, which made the day even more enjoyable for everyone. It was fantastic to see so many children running their very first race or overcoming nerves to complete the course. This event isn’t just about running—it’s about learning resilience, pushing through challenges, and growing both as athletes and individuals. Well done to everyone who took part!

CHESS CLUB
Dawn and Mr. Kennedy are back in action with our lunch tine chess club. This year, first, second and third classes are getting a chance to learn the basics before we welcome back some of our masters!
